In the Blue mountains we did two really cool things, one was swinging in the trees and the second one was visiting the Scenicworld.
First time we tried taking Henry to one of these swinging in the trees things he was too young, just 3 days before his birthday. Now he is 4 he could do it and he loved it! Unfortunately, he was a bit short and couldn’t reach the clips properly, so I had to do it with him. But that was ok, I just walked behind him and moved his clip around. He did all the climbing, swinging and jumping by himself. On some of them he thought he was funny though and flew between the trees and then swung back to the middle so I then had to swing to the middle, get him and me to the other side.
Henry and I just did the kid track while Stephen was up doing the proper tracks. Climbing and flying about 25 meters up in the air. He also jumped down from a platform about 15 meters up in the air holding on to I wire.
We all had so much fun and will definitely do it again. And boy did we all ache the day after!
Scenic world was a bit calmer than that. We took a cable car down from the top of the mountain, walked through the rainforest and then took the steepest train in the world back up the mountain.
We walked around for about 40 minutes playing hide and seek on the walkway and trying to find some snakes to scare Stephen with.
Then we waited for the train and was lucky enough to get the front seats on the way up again. I say lucky, but I didn’t know what to expect so when the doors closed, and Stephen said, “lets tilt the seats” I was a bit confused. But then the train went straight up the cliff and through the mountain so in the end all you saw was a tiny little light at the end of the tunnel. All I’m saying is thank god, we didn’t do it on the way down because then I think I would be scared stupid! Great day.
We are in Sydney at the moment and will move to Bali tomorrow.
I will do another post tomorrow what we have seen and done here. Sydney has been good. It’s a huge city and has lots to offer.
