8 years ago Stephen and I visited Brisbane. Stephen went there for work and I tagged along for a little holiday during my Uni summer break. It was great!
This time it was slightly different. First of all, we had Henry with us. It was so exciting showing him all the places me and Stephen went to. And second of all it had changed so much, I know it has been 8 years, but still. There was a whole new area now that was amazing. They had so many cool restaurants! We went out for some Spanish Paella and Sangria last night, but we could have had Greek, Turkish, Italian, Lebanese or American!
Oh I love Brisbane!
I have always said that I want to live there at some point in my life. Hopefully that will happen.
8 years ago, Stephen and I went to a restaurant along the river. We didn’t know anything about it and just picked it because they had a free table. I was still in my beach clothes and Stephen was in his shorts and T-shirt. We got a table at the front and ordered some food. The food came and it was cold soup as a starter, little did I know then but it was supposed to be cold.
We looked around us and everyone was dressed up to their teeth and we found out it was the opening night for one of the famous Australian celebrity chefs! People at Stephens work didn’t know how we managed to get a table as it has been booked out for months!
We laughed so much thinking about it, the state we were in, they had even asked to take our jackets, but we said no we can hang them on our chairs! Ha ha ha
We walked past it last night and it was empty. But apparently still very popular.
This morning we got on a flight to Newcastle. We are now in Hunter Valley working our way down towards Sydney.
