From the city of KL to the Sri Lankan jungle.

They all knew that after 2 hours they went back.

We left Bali a couple of hours before the Volcano erupted! Yes we have great timing, we left the Caribbean’s weeks before the hurricane went over there as well. People are still stranded in Bali, personally it wouldn’t be the worst place in the world to get stuck.

Then we flew to KL straight into a house warming party at our friend’s house. And btw it was such a great party! We had four days there, and two in Malacca a city two hours away. There we went to a reptile farm, went around the city on a taxi bike, went to a big museum in an old ship and strolled along the streets. Lovely little place for a day or two.

Back in KL we managed to have a girl’s night out in a Hamman and the boys managed a day of golf. Both Stephen and I were sore for days!

Yesterday we left KL and flew to Sri Lanka where we are spending two weeks with Nanny and Granddad! Stephens parents. Henry was so excited he did not know what to do with himself!

The flight was fine, going through security and passport control when we landed was the easiest thing we have done on this holiday, straight through!

Nanny and granddad waited at the hotel for us and Henry has not left their side since then.

Today we got in the car and went to see some elephants. We drove for about 2,5hours to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage and we saw about 25 elephants swim and play in the river. It was magical. It is an orphanage, so the keepers take them down to the river twice a day. After that they walk through the streets back to their home.

We jumped in to the car and went further down the road to have an elephant ride, an elephant wash and then they said jump on to it’s back again and the elephant sprayed us with water! The funniest thing I have done!!! Oh Henry shrieked with laughter. Me and Stephen as well. Just to finish it off I fell in the water getting off the elephant, so I was wet all over.

On the way to the hotel we saw some wild elephants as well which was really nice to see , except it one had rubbish all over it’s back.

Magical day!
