So much to do, so little time.

The days and the time is really going quick now.

We have some serious planning to do still. I’m researching Hawaii now and Stephen is planning the American Road Trip. Trying to find nice places to stay and not miss anything too amazing. We have been using for apartments and or for the hotels for most of our stays. It is just easier if we have an apartment and a kitchen so we can cook most of our meals rather than eat out all the time.

It is proving to be a struggle to find anything nice on a budget in Hawaii. I just didn’t realise that they were a bit behind the European standard. I found myself in a little bit of a pickle earlier this week when I tried to be efficient. Stephen has been doing most of the bookings so far and I thought I would help a bit. As Hawaii is my bit I found a nice hotel on the beach (the standard of the apartments are not up to much at all). I thought I would just book it and tell Stephen about it later, if we don’t like it then we’ll cancel. The only problem was that I had booked one that was non-refundable, no parking included and over budget! The webpages really trick you because the site will tell you one price and then you click into it and book and all of a suddenly there is cleaning fees, breakfast fees, check out fees and god know what else fees. So, I made a mess there but never mind it’s a nice hotel on Waikiki beach in Honolulu.

Now I need to find nice places to stay at the other islands as well. We have got a month in Hawaii so there is no stress. There are so many attractions and the nature is beautiful I want to experience as much as we can.

We booked in a few cruise shore trips the other day.  There will be horseback riding in the jungle for me and for us all Swimming with dolphins and visit to a volcano with a relaxing mud bath. The other days we will just relax on the local beaches and explore the local areas ourselves.  Friends have also told us it can be nice to stay on the boat when you don’t have things planned as the pools etc. will be all empty. They have 9 pools, a golf course, shows, shops and lots of restaurants on board. The trip is about doing new things and I have never been on a cruise so it will be interesting to see if it’s something we’ll do again. We are leaving from Puerto Rico then we are stopping in:

St Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados

It’s pretty cool that we get to visit off all of these islands on our adventure. We were supposed to go on a Disney cruise but there were none that was worth the money (double the price). There were a lot of things you could do when docked but they knew how to price things as well. We are going on a Royal Caribbean cruise.

As you would probably believe the trip is all we can think of at the moment. Henry keeps saying he can’t wait to see the whales in the swimming pools. Haha I really hope there won’t be whales in the pools. I can’t wait to feel the sand in between my toes and I think Stephen can’t wait to just relax. He is working so much at the moment it will be interesting to see how long it takes him to relax.

We are also in the process of renting out our house in Maidenhead for the time we are travelling. So much to do, so little time!
