Four days in Sydney is not enough! 2 weeks is probably more like it, but we have limited time.
We have managed to take an Nightly Australian animal tour outside Sydney that started at midday and ended midnight. We have walked around Sydney and seen the parks, The Sydney Opera house, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and a few shops. And we have also managed to see the Zoo.
The Animal tour was great! We got picked up in a mini bus and taken about 1,5 hours south of Sydney where we went for a walk to find some Koalas. A couple of days ago they saw a sick one and they were trying to catch it to take it to the vet. But sadly, we couldn’t find it.
We saw one koala but not the right one. After that we saw Kangaroos, platypus, wombats, bats, some birds, possums, dear and wallabies.
The most exciting was platypus! It is so rare to see in the wild that most Aussies have not seen one.
Henry did very well and did not fall asleep until we were on our way home.
That was the best tour we have done so far on our adventures. The people taking us were very knowledgeable, we got fed afternoon tea and they took us to the oldest pub in Australia for a meal and they were very helpful.
On our last full day we went to the Zoo, it was Henrys idea. It was a big zoo, they had all the cool animals but the areas where they kept the animals were quite small and the animals looked sad.
We took a boat there in the morning and we had been told that they left 9.45, unfortunately they had told us the wrong time and we had to take one boat around the corner and then wait nearly an hour until the next one that would take us to the zoo.
All in all, it was a good day, but I wouldn’t recommend to go there, there are so many other nice things to do in Sydney. We finished the day of by having a play in the park. They have put a water play area right next to the playpark and it is great, so Henry stripped of and had about an hour play.
We flew to Bali last night and I can’t wait to have some proper heat again, beach and pool time and the best of it all some friends time! Our friends are coming to stay with us and it will be lovely to see some friendly faces.
